Congratulations to U. S. Steel’s Big River Steel for achieving ResponsibleSteel™ Site Certification for its mill in Osceola, Arkansas! SRI is proud to have been part of the first ever ResponsibleSteel certification in North America, serving as the third-party assessment body working closely with the Big River Steel team to understand and assess how they met the requirements within each of the twelve principles in the standard.
Achieving ResponsibleSteel certification demonstrates a commitment by Big River Steel to managing environmental impacts, caring for employees and the surrounding community, and being transparent about their goals and performance.
